Winnipeg, MB – On Oct. 25, 2013 Eight emerging female artists will showcase new work at aceartinc gallery. A year-long program through Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art (MAWA) brought the diverse group of artists together. They work in mediums ranging from paintings, prints and photography, to video and mixed-media.

Sasha Amaya, Janessa Brunet, Amanda Damsma, Elise Dawson, Sarah Hodges-Kolisnyk, Megan Krause, Gerry Oliver, and Natasha Peterson were selected by MAWA in September 2012 to participate in the organization’s respected Foundation Mentorship Program. The mentees have spent a year under the guidance of four established and internationally-exhibited female artists and mentors Aganetha Dyck, Val Klassen, Lisa Stinner-Kun, and Suzie Smith.
